Resin Art by Diane

Hello and thank you for your interest in my work!  My story... about a year ago I became interested in creating beautiful things with resin. It all started with seeing a few posts on the internet of some really cool and gorgeous pieces that caught my eye and peeked my interest. I became intrigued with learning how to make such amazing items and all that was involved in the medium.  Well, believe You Me, there was A LOT to to learn, a lot of information out there, (both good and bad, true and incorrect), A LOT of precautions and safety concerns, costs and materials, and lastly A LOT of creativity, limitless possibilities of self expression, self fulfillment & fun!

And so I set sail on my journey into resin crafting. I did a ton of research for months and months, trying to do my homework and learn all that I could. I studied many various techniques, skills, and possibilities while at the same time began accumulating the necessary supplies to get started.  I prepared a dedicated spare room to be my resin crafting space and filled it with everything I needed, (and then some...), to get started.

At first I was so overloaded with a constant bombardment of possible disasters and issues that could occur with the dangers of using raw resin materials that I almost didn't start at all.   It is very intimidating medium & craft!  Well, my curiosity and determination helped me to forge my way through those self doubts and scary scenarios and one day I just did it.  From that moment on I was completely hooked!  I now spend many hours every week totally immersed in creating and am excited to work on new projects with my resin art pieces every day!

My background has always been creative and artistic.  I am a Photographer by trade and love to capture the world around Me in photographs.  The Photographer in me emerged at about 10 years old. Eventually I would become a Professional Photographer when I was in my 30's. I find beauty and interest in pretty much every type of subject and type of photography.  This extremely wide swath of photographic interests provides me with never ending and limitless subject matter allowing me to always submerge myself happily and completely in whatever is currently in front of me.

Creative crafting is another interest that seems to have always been in my background. From the time I was child, I was always making something.  Those creations were usually made from whatever was laying around and that I found to repurpose into something else.  Many times they did not turn out as I had envisioned but that is all a part of learning and growing.  It is the persistence, tenacity, motivation, & drive to keep trying to improve that counts and strengthens our talents.

And so, that is my story.  I hope to brighten your day and your space with one of my Resin Art creations and wish you love, joy and beauty in your life!    ~ Warmly, Diane
